Hints of a better resume


Resume is the first and best representative of you which creates an impression, before an interview with an employer.
A better written resume is the most powerful tool for a job in your mind and can fetch you most prospective jobs
. Some guide lines for that:

  • Resume does not mean 'A Summery of You' and hence you don't have to elaborate. The more number of pages can never get a job you dream. Employers look for precise and meaning full details. Hence your details should be genuine and sincerely written, convincing and impress you first. Always update it with your modern knowledge and skills.

  • Your resume should contain all the basic information (like name, age, date of birth, sex, etc.,) with detailed information of the following:

  • Full Name with contact information.
    Present address with phone number. The phone number should be with area code. The address should contain district, state, country and PIN code. Mention how long you have been in this location. If your present address is different from the permanent address, you have to even mention that. Remember, if you have an email address, don't forget to provide that in your resume. Email is the most opted way now days to contact a person with ease and speed.

  • Identity:
    Mention your passport number with expiry date, Identity proof, Valid driving license etc.

  • Qualifications:
    Qualifications should be of two parts. Basic qualifications and professional qualifications. Mention all your qualification with year of passing. If you have any additional qualifications mention it under 'Additional Qualification' sub title.
    If you are a registered nurse that has to be mentioned with your registration number.
    TOEFL / CGFNS passed candidates should mention that with relevant details.
  • Knowledge:
    This is the knowledge you acquired from your work place or any other means like conferences, meetings, other short studies or coaching classes. 
  • Work Experience:
    Give detailed information about your experience in different department with duration, designation and hospital address. Finally you should mentioned your total years of experience.
